When we speak of talent and experience we think of Vanessa Cruz, a beautiful woman born on May 31st, under the sign of Gemini. This green eyed, blond haired beauty knows how to acclimate her voice to any variety of music from romantic ballads to lively and rich merengue.

 

Vanessa was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, a town from which numerous famous artists such as Bobby Valentin and Manny Manuel among others have derived.  At the young age of nine, Vanessa began singing professionally in a group named Las Hijas de Borinquen. She performed throughout the island of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic singing in different festival such as the Festival De La Voz y La Cansion were she won several awards together with Las Hijas de Borinquen. Vanessa has also appeared in several radio and television segments throughout her career. 

 

In 1991 Vanessa went solo, sharing the stage with famous artists such as Celia Cruz, Luis Enrique, Willy Chirino, Milly Quesada, Grupo Mania, Manny Manuel among others. Vanessa resumed her singing career after she was invited to sing for a well known Latin producer. 

 

Vanessa’s charisma and talent gave her the opportunity to participate in important activities in central and southern Florida, Puerto Rico, New York and El Salvador. Some of her recent performances include the 20 years Anniversary of JJ Production, Donating Smiles, Premios Estrellas, October Fest in Puerto Rico, Exponica International Fair of the Americas, The Annual White Party Sunset T-Dance, Fiesta De Pueblo, A Night Of Stars With Roberto Levermann, Red Carpet by Charlie Lapson “Rumba”, New York Couture Fashion Week, Calle Ocho in Miami, FL to name a few. Vanessa was nominated seven times for the Golden Mic Latin Music Awards 2013 for her new single “Me Gusta”, winning “Artista Femenino Tropical del Año”.
